8:18 The irony of Michael Jace speaking out against violence. 0:56 😂 run! Ok. I know a lot of people may disagree but i find this to be the best movie ever made. The script, the direction and most of all Tom Hanks stunning performance made this movie perfect for me.
This movie is about a slightly mentally challenged man (Hanks) who finds himself parts of very memorable parts of history. He tries to do his best and thats exactly what happens. As the story goes on he finds himself doing amazing things throughout the world.
This is an amazing movie. Its touching, its breathtaking, its filled with action sequences, its exciting, i could go on forever because this ovie literally has everything you could want and more. There is a reason this movie won 6 Oscars in won award because it is hands down the best movie ever made. This movie is for everyone no matter who you are this movie is for you. 10/10.

Forestas gampas. When it comes to the greatest dramatic films ever produced, Forrest Gump" has to be near the top of that list. Put succinctly, it has everything a movie could possible hold: adventure, great characters, drama, emotion, and humor. There are very few films that combine all those things with such aplomb as director Robert Zemeckis does with "Gump.
For a basic plot summary, this movie tells the life story of Forrest Gump (Tom Hanks) a man who, on the "scale of normal" falls a wee bit short in the intelligence department. However, via the guidance of his beloved Mama (Sally Field) the constant wanting for childhood sweetheart- turned-wild child Jenny (Robin Wright) and friends like Bubba (Mykelti Williamson) and Lt. Dan (Gary Sinise) viewers are shown a life that, despite coming from such a simple man, has touched so many others.
There are two primary reasons why "Forrest Gump" will resonate through the ages:
First, is the Gump character himself. Not only did it rocket Tom Hanks to super stardom, but it is one of the greatest representations of life ever put on the big screen. Even though Forrest is obviously "slow" he has qualities about him that we all wish we could mimic. He doesn't get caught up in the "b.s." of life, instead just taking things at face value and living life in the moment. As a result, he has a knack for showing up at the right place at the right time. Sometimes, we get so caught up in the minutiae of our everyday lives that we forget to just "live. something Forrest does like no other.
Secondly, this movie is a reflection of its times. I think there are so many baby boomers who, like Jenny, thought that counter-culture (drugs, hippies, etc.) was the best route into adulthood. What many of them realized, however, was that such behavior could not last forever, and eventually you have to come back to reality. In this case, Jenny has a Forrest to come back to, which provides the primary drama of the film.
Overall, Forrest Gump" is a landmark effort in cinema, as it is one of the only movies that can still hold up perfectly despite being only about "the journey" so to speak. It can be watched by viewers of pretty much all ages and enjoyed on some level. The film is on television so much these days that sometimes it gets a little over-exposed, but it still remains a special piece of filmmaking.

Wow, she really does care. I watched this with my family last year. Amazing BTW that last part with Forrest making those noises is hilarious. This movie as an awful story line. I think It got an 8.8 because Tom Hanks is in it. Real it is an awful movie. 1 give it out 10 because it is crap. This movie so awful. Do not see it. It is a big pile of pooh pooh. Just do not see it. It is noting but hype. That is all it is. I do not no why people like this movie. It is so boring. It has some good actor. But it is so boring. I do not why people like it. The story line is so stinky. This is just crap. Crap crap crap. I can believe how popular this crap is. I think it got a I have never seen such a boring pile of crap in my life. The only Oscar this movie should have gotten was Oscar the grouch. Do not wast your time. And do not wast your money. Do not see this awful movie.

Bubba was the best damn friend anyone could ever have wish him the best. Moral of the story: Love is AIDS. Forestas gampang. Forestas gampas online. That last scene will ALWAYS bring me to TEARS... I wonder if they'll bring Robert Pattison and Joaquin Phoenix together.

I'll take the cleaned up TV version. Best batman movie EVER. I feel that 0:54 to 1:33 pretty much summarizes Forrest's life. Lovely scenes just the piano background with the Titanic music does much for the hippie atmosphere. Now they don't bother yelling 'Wilson' they just say. 'Hey look at me, I'm the captain now. The best movie of all time. Its a really good telling of history in a heart provoking and hilarious fashion. Why you do not love me jenny. I am not smart but I know what love is. This sound track is like the theme of life its exciting cheerful and then its all serious sad and has that feeling of hope and dread because that's what life is one day you are a kid and the next you're getting married and then you lose some loved ones and this sound track just makes me tear up because it's beautiful like life. Cherish every moment with the people you love don't waste time on people who let you down... ignore what makes you upset Peace and love to all of you and have a great fulfilling life.

WILSOOOOOOON! 😂 The day Tom Hanks is no longer on the earth with be a sad day. He's my favorite actor. Leonardo is a close second.

So Satisfying when Joker smacks his lips. Something very special about those late 90s movies. An injection of magic. According to my grandfather who fought with a prv unit there should be a stench of human shit, Sharpe bamboo stake traps, more guts and entrails, a few guys falling apart mentally, raiser Sharpe elephant grass and out of control drinking to prevent your self from going insane.
